I played golf yesterday. It was amazing how much the concentration and balance I have gained from yoga benefited me. We had a tournament a month ago and I was really terrible. On Saturday I took a women's golf clinic and learned how and when to use a pitching wedge. Of all the things we covered, that was the most helpful because it can be tricky. I was fortunate to play with a really great golfer that has been trying to teach his young children so he had a lot of patience and provided direction that kept me hitting them long and straight (most of the time, anyways). As with yoga, playing golf is something you can enjoy for a long time so it is nice to have found hobbies and interests that I can invest my time and energy in. It was flattering when the gentleman that helped me so much yesterday said that if I kept up the classes he would like to play with me in six months. He believed that I was doing very well for a beginner. At the risk of bragging, I quite agree but it was nice to hear it from someone else.

If you are a University of Toledo Graduate, I am the Dallas/Fort Worth Alumni Chapter Leader and we are having a Tony Packo's Party on December 3rd. It is a long shot that someone reading this might be from UT and live in the Metroplex but I had to post it, regardless. Email me and I will verify your alumni status prior to giving out details for security purposes. I don't need Bowling Green people crashing our party! Just kidding. I plan on having some joint functions next year with B.G. If we beat B.G. on the 23rd we should be going to the MAC conference. Go Rockets!
Actually, we are having the food shipped here and President Johnson is flying down to speak. It is ok if you went to BG actually. One of the guys who was actually friends with my mom long ago brought his wife and she went to Bowling Green. I guess it was inevitable. We had a Cheerleader that was married to a Football Player in attendance as well. Can you believe that 2 of the people, I met at my pool after trying to get the chapter off the ground for 5 months? The POOL!!! It is good to be outgoing.
